Zoning Code Amendment

The text of the Zoning Code provides standards for residential land development and construction. To do so, it identifies different districts where differing sizes of lots and types of housing are anticipated as appropriate. Many of these standards are tailored toward the development of single-family homes. This is fully appropriate within single-family districts and the existing regulations for those areas are seen as effective. However in districts where multi-family development is anticipated, the regulations work to discourage the multi-family development in favor of additional single-family homes. This depresses the residential building capacity and raises the cost of living for everyone in the community.

To address this, the following text amendments to the Zoning Code are being evaluated:
