Vacation Rental Licensing

The City of Stevenson requires Vacation Rentals located within the city limits to be licensed with the city (SMC 5.20.015). Vacation Rentals are defined as renting or leasing a dwelling unit for less than 30 consecutive days (SMC 5.20.010(F)).

A vacation rental license is issued for a period of one year from issuance, but may be prorated as described in SMC 5.04.040(B)(2).

To Apply for a Vacation Rental License, submit a completed Vacation Rental Application to the City Hall.

A one year Vacation Rental License is $200. Payments must be made using the Washington State Department of Revenue online portal.

• Contact Neighboring Properties using City Supplied Letter found in our Vacation Rental Packet
• Verify All Safety Guidelines are followed
  • Smoke Detection
  • Carbon Monoxide Detection
  • Proper Egress
• Provide Renters with appropriate Emergency Services contact numbers
