Shoreline Planning Phases
In February 2015, Regional Shorelines Planning staff from the Department of Ecology presented the Planning Commission and Advisory Committee with an Overview Presentation on the process to update the City’s existing SMP. This process includes distinct phases and the 31 separate deliverables described in the links below.
General Phase
The activities and deliverables of this phase occur throughout the SMP update process.
Phase 1- Preliminary Shoreline Jurisdiction & Public Participation Plan
The activities and deliverables of this phase occurred between May 2012 and February 2015.
Phase 2- Shoreline Inventory, Analysis & Characterization
The activities and deliverables were adopted in December of 2018 and include.
